Consultation

All of our consultations for your real hair extensions are free, even if you decide hair extensions are not for you in the end. During the consultation process we will:

1. Ensure the suitability of your hair to have hair extensions – it is quite rare but in some circumstances not all hair is suitable for hair extensions, the main reason being because your own hair is weak due to over processing. Do not worry if this is the case because we can recommend a programme of care for you until your hair is able to withstand the hair extension process.
2. We will discuss the style/look you are hoping to achieve with the hair extensions – During this stage we will talk about the style you want (feel free to bring a picture with you if you wish) and we will decide on the colour or colours you wish to have. You do not have to stick to one colour. Natural hair is not normally one colour anyway and we often use more than one colour to achieve a natural look, or a highlighted/low lighted look if you wish.
3. Decide on length of hair – our real hair extensions come in a variety of lengths from 14 inch, 18 inch and 24 inch to give you a variety of choice on design and price.
4. Decide on the type of extensions to use – here at Serenity we offer a range of hair extensions. You can rest assured that whatever extension you choose to have the hair is 100% real human hair. To understand the different types of extensions in more detail click on ‘information’
5. Discuss how your extensions will be cut after they have been applied – Most styles require cutting after the extensions have been put in and we recommend you allow us to blend them into your existing hair to ensure they look as real as possible.
6. You will be informed of a time scale – everyone’s hair is different and it is impossible to give an exact time scale on how long it will take to apply the extensions until we have carried out the consultation.
7. We will give you aftercare advice – we offer a full range of products (L’ANZA) to ensure you keep your real hair extensions looking as good as possible for as long as possible. We can supply you with specially formulated shampoo, conditioner and hair serum. All of which we do recommend you purchase to help keep your extensions in top condition. You will also be able to purchase from us the necessary styling tools such as an extension brush and comb. For more information on our products click on ‘maintenance.’
8. We give you a price – we always ensure we are as accurate as possible with our quote we give you to ensure you do not have any nasty surprises on the day of your appointment. The prices vary depending on the length and type of hair you want, how much hair we have to use to achieve your desired style and how long they will take to apply.
9. We book an appointment – providing you are happy to proceed we will make a booking at a convenient time. We normally have to allow a few days after your consultation to make your appointment to give us enough time to order your hair. We also take a 50% deposit at the time of booking. This is of course taken off your final bill at the end.
